Based in the sunny Eastern Bay of Plenty, Kylee, a qualified Vet
Nurse, has ridden and been involved with horses for over 20
years.
Hot Spots Thermal Imaging Limited came about after Kylee heard
about it being successfully used to diagnose a mystery lameness on
a horse.
After a lot of research I decided that this sounded like
something I wanted to do, so I took to finding where to source a
camera and working my way through the various areas of red
tape.
Finally in December the camera arrived in New Zealand and I set
about using it on horses.
Since then we have been busy all over New Zealand travelling to
horses that have been in need of our services. We have had loads of
fantastic results and feedback, including quite a few pending
injuries that have been prevented.
We have an extremely busy time over winter coming up and will be
on the road a lot, it seems that New Zealanders have been looking
for just this kind of thing to come along to help them identify
issues with their horses, I think nearly every horse and owner can
benefit from this, who doesnt want to know whats going on with
their horses?
